State The Socio-economic Problems Facing Ethnic Groups In The United States And Suggest Solutions To – Essay Example
Socio-economic problems ethnic groups face in the United s and solutions to them Ethnic groups in the United s still have many problems, which influence the conditions of their life and development within the country. These problems include work, study, family relations, wellbeing, law and religion. The problems can be divided into four groups: (1) work and law, (2) financial situation, (3) family and religion, (4) health (Levinson, 1998).
Speaking about law and employment, these problems should not be seen as the difficulties of definite group but the problems of the whole American society. All the people should try to help minorities feel equal in order to get more unity. The American law should provide ethnic groups with more support. Family plays a very important rile in struggle for equity. Parents must do their best to make their family happy and safe, to make their children educated and comfortable. Church is also very important institution in stating the culture. The churches of some minorities turned into really big structures that help people state their traditions. Now church is not only a religious center but also a center of culture and education (Levinson, 1998).
Speaking about health, minorities’ leaders together with public organizations should pay more attentions to the health issues, mainly to such problems as HIV and AIDS. This will help ethnic groups gain equality. It should be mentioned that state of health is closely connected to family conditions as healthy children are brought up in healthy families (Levinson, 1998).
The conclusion can be made that it is very important to take actions to help people realize that only united society can be successful. Therefore, it is essential for every citizen to support this unity.
